I'm a Singaporean

For the 1st time and last time in my entire life, I went for our nation’s National Day Parade at the National Stadium last Saturday. I’ve always wanted to go for the parade and I’m so so glad that Sis was given 2 tickets. Despite it being only a preview, I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere.

I wore white
I went through the fun pack like a kid
I put on the fake tattoo on my arms and hands
I kept myself cool with the mini electric fan
I ate the snacks
I sang along
I waved my mini flag
I did the kallang wave
I wowed in emotion when I saw the fireworks

I recited the national anthem
I sang the national song
I did so with pride
I’m MW Lin
I’m a Singaporean
So say we all, so say we all…
